While most plastic surgeons provide breast enhancement procedures, few doctors offer the artistry and experience of Board Certified Dr. John Furrey. Believing that no one should have to feel self-conscious about their appearance, our practice offers a variety of procedures creating a natural look and feel.
One of the most common plastic surgery procedures, breast augmentation is designed to enhance both the size and appearance of an individual's breasts. Ideal for patients seeking fuller breasts, as well as those who have lost volume after weight loss or nursing, breast augmentation requires a small incision and can be performed on an outpatient basis. After inserting the saline or gel implant, Dr. Furrey will adjust it for ideal placement and size, then close the incision. In most cases, surgery lasts just 2 hours.
Saline implants may deflate over time. Both saline and silicone implants may be removed by personal choice. Saline implants longevity is generally 12-15 years, it is recommended that saline implants are replaced after 12 years.

As women age, the skin loses elasticity, causing the breasts to sag or droop. Breast lifts involve the raising and reshaping of breasts to create a more youthful figure. Under general anesthesia, Dr. Furrey will create an anchor-like incision along the underside of the breast. He can then remove excess skin and adjust the placement of the breast and nipple.
It's not uncommon for women with large breasts to suffer back and neck pain along with poor self-image. Offering both medical and aesthetic benefits, breast reductions involve the removal of excess fat and skin from the breast tissue. Under general anesthesia, Dr. Furrey creates an incision that circles the areola. He then removes fat, glandular tissue, and skin and repositions the breast for a more youthful appearance. Sometimes liposuction is included for the desired look. Many patients who pursue breast reduction enjoy more proportionate figures as well as a reduction in pain.
